ORIGINAL CHANEL BILLBOARD

To recreate the billboard I used a picture I found on Pinterest after searching 'girl wearing sunglasses'. Using Photoshop, I flipped the original image horizontally so that the model was facing the same way as is shown in the original billboard. I'm not altogether happy with this photo as you can see it is a photo pasted on as opposed to part of the image, however it was the best I could find in the short space of time. I used fonts from dafont.com, 'Couture' for the title and 'SF New Republic' for the address. I think they are quite a good imitation of the original as they are very similar style. To improve however I would attempt to imitate the spaced out look of the masthead as displayed on the original billboard. Having never made a billboard before, this task was a learning curve for me. I have found that a simplistic style generally works best, with minimal text so as not to distract or confuse the reader. A strong image should also be used to attract the audiences eye and look attractive as it will be the main focus of the billboard.
